"FIREBALL!" Lina shouted, casting her spell. She watched as it hit the target and exploded with a pleasant glow.

"Um, um... are you sure you should be doing that?" Jyou asked fretfully. The red-headed woman was intimidating to say the least.

"Well, how ELSE should I fight giant monsters?!" Lina asked, pointing towards the huge dinosaur-looking thing.

"Ah, Taichi-san is going to be so angry," Jyou muttered.

"Eh, he'll get over it," Lina replied, having no idea who Taichi-san was, or why he'd be mad. "Ooh! Look! Another one!" She hopped up and pointed towards another huge monster lurking just over the hill.

"N-no!" Jyou grabbed her arm, trying to keep her from going further, but she just dragged him along. "They're not evil!"

"Of COURSE they're evil. They're giant monsters!" Lina said. Man, this boy was dumb.

"No! They're Digimon! They're our friends!" Jyou said, digging his heels into the ground. "Please stop!"

Lina sighed heavily and shot him an irritated look. "Stop?" She smirked evily. "Suuuure. Sure, I'll stop."

Jyou released her and sighed in relief. "As I was trying to explain, they're just Digimon," he said, taking his glasses off to clean them on the hem of his shirt.

Lina smirked and started running. That kid's legs were skinny. No way was he going to be able to keep up. "SUCKER!"

Jyou sobbed and tried to catch up.
