Tea Time

Daisuke had invited him over for tea. Why the hell would Daisuke want to drink tea with him?

"Because Ken said that was the best way!" Daisuke said happily as he poured tea into Taichi's mug.

"The best way... to do what, exactly?" Taichi asked with a raised eyebrow. Something was up here. Something very suspicious. Ever since he had entered high school and Daisuke had entered junior high, the younger boy had been acting stranger and stranger. It was making Taichi wonder...

"To... talk about stuff!" Daisuke said, flushing a bit and pouring tea for himself before biting his lower lip nervously.

'Ah, here it is,' Taichi thought. "Yeah? Talk about what?" Taichi took a sip of the tea and tried not to wince. It was way too bitter.

"Um... well... stuff like... us!" Daisuke said brightly and gave Taichi a wide smile.

"...us. As in me and you? When did we become an 'us'?" Taichi asked, setting the mug down carefully.

Daisuke hesitated before continuing. "Well... um... we haven't. But we could!" His eyes were wide and his face was red and Taichi was pretty sure he could hear the younger boy's heart racing from where he sat.

"Are you asking me out, Daisuke?" Taichi asked, feeling quite amused, if not flattered. He'd figured this was coming for a while now. (Of course Yamato had had to point it out at first, but still.)

"W-well... um... I mean... uh..." Daisuke flailed a bit, then picked up his mug, taking a big swig of the hot, bitter beverage, clearly trying to buy time. He yelped and sat the mug down quickly, making a face. "Ehhh, so bitter!"

Smirking, Taichi leaned across the table. "Ah, let me help you with that." He pressed his lips to Daisuke's and his tongue into Daisuke's mouth. Taichi hadn't been sure how he'd handle it when Daisuke finally got up the guts to admit that he liked him, but now that it was happening, Daisuke was just way too cute to NOT want to kiss.

Daisuke froze in place before slowly returning the kiss, whimpering softly into it.

Sitting back and looking quite smug, Taichi smirked at him. "You suck at making tea."

"W-well... but..." Daisuke stuttered, obviously completely lost. "I can cook other stuff..." he mumbled, staring down at his own lap, his face a bright shade of red.

Taichi ruffled Daisuke's hair and winked at him. "Ah, in that case, I guess I'll go out with you."

Daisuke waited only a moment before throwing himself across the table and glomping Taichi, knocking them both to the ground, and spilling the tea everywhere. Giving Taichi a guilty look, Daisuke whimpered. "Sorry. I spilled the tea... I could make more!"

Taichi shook his head. "Nah. I don't like tea much, anyway. And besides, you taste much better."
